I had this dream that my Dad and I were screaming at each other, and woke up all mad, and feeling like he was mad at me, and we only really talk to each other a few times a year, so I carried around this feeling that we were in a fight for awhile, then he texted me to tell me that an ex girlfriend from my high school days was going to cut his hair.
And I remembered that we were not in a fight.
So I started recording this album about dreams and hallucinations and memories that don't feel quite right but are always there, making up a good deal of my life experience. I guess I just got hung up on the whole reality-isn't-real thing that we used to talk about a lot when we smoked bowls out in the woods. Or hell maybe you took some college classes and read Descartes and considered that maybe an evil demon was tricking you into thinking this life is what it seems to be, and so you know that the argument was updated from the demons to what if it turns out that you are just a brain in a vat. So now we are all caught up and you understand my album, and you understand the Matrix trilogy.
