about

between loves, broken hearts and head over heals, between black and white, between jobs, between shivers and sweat, between failures, between wanting to die and wanting to be a better person, between wanting the world to know your deep endless child like depression and wanting everyone to think you are a happy confident funny creative intelligent man, between burned bridges, yelling at your voice, happy about being hopelessly sad, crying over a budding infatuation, singing songs to walls and machines and drinking with strangers and creeps, having the same conversation in your head with ghosts you've sworn you'd stop conjuring, needing the sun and praying for dark, trying to sleep away dreams and booze away the spins, fostering parents, punished by teenagers, sitting in on college classes you ought to be teaching, interview for jobs you don't want, and trying to court a new life while killing yourself, breathing whiskey and vomiting air, doing uppers and downers that bring you up and down and up and down and nightmaring about being awake again, looking forward to the pills in your pockets and the lack of looking forward to come, writing songs about cycles and recycling songs, between nowhere I'm always like right fucking there, you know? Of course you do, you'd have trailed off by now otherwise, but you didn't you made it through. Thanks for listening, it really helps me.
